As we all know, going to Walt Disney World is exciting all by itself, but going during special events makes it even more memorable. And, the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is back and better than ever. In fact, this may be one of the best ones yet!
From the Global Marketplace Booths to the special events and many new additions, you’ll undoubtedly be in for a day (or days) filled with fun, food, and drinks! Plus, the 2022 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is the last year to experience Disney World’s 50th anniversary extravagence at the same time.
Here are some of the great things you can look forward to at this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival:
Global Marketplace Booths
Stroll around all 6 continents and taste food from all over the world! There are over 30 different booths to choose from this year. Even if you have a picky eater in the family, you will find things that you love, trust us. Get shrimp right off the bar-be from Australia, head to France for Beignet aux Trois Fromages: Warm Beignet filled with a 3-Cheese Blend, or check out tropical flavors from Hawaii! This is just the start.
Two of our favorite areas from last year were Canada and Morocco! Canada has “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce on the menu, which is gluten and wheat-friendly. And, Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina has traditional Moroccan cuisine. We tried the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Hummus, Zaalouk and Zhoug Dips along with some of their amazing drink options. Check out the photos below!
Also, to get the most from your trip, we highly recommend making sure you have one passport booklets Disney has available. These showcase all of the various areas and menus available. Gluten-friendly and plant-based options are marked— along with Kid-Approved dishes (just look for “KA”).
More Fan Favorites
Here is a selection of some of the fan-favorite booths featured at this year’s food and wine festival. If you have been before, you know these and know how popular they are.
If you haven’t been before, these are a few of the classics you have to try:
- Australia with selections including grilled sweet and spicy bush berry shrimp with pineapple, pepper, onion, and snap peas and beverages including coopers brewery original pale ale
- Earth Eats by Impossible will feature plant-based selections that will open your mind to the infinite world of plant-based food
- France will bring its classic cuisine in meals such as Parmentier de Boeuf Braisé au Cabernet: Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes and drinks such as strawberry rose mimosa
- Hawaii is a fan favorite with its Kālua pork slider with sweet-and-sour DOLE® pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise
What’s Returning from Last Year
These sample booths from last year make a return this year! We all knew they might be a one-time food adventure, but these made the cut:
- Brew-wing at the Epcot experience offers a mixture of wings and flatbreads along with different ales and ciders
- The Noodle Exchange serves a variety of Asian inspired noodle dishes like shrimp and coconut curry rice noodles with shiitake mushrooms and Thai basil
- The Swanky Saucy Swine will be a new pork inspired booth serving dishes like crispy barbecue pork rinds with pimento cheese and soy-glazed sticky ribs with green onions and peanuts
- The Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina will feature Moroccan cuisine with dishes like fried falafel pita with tahini sauce
Unfortunately Rotunda Bistro did not make the cut, but we’re excited to see all of other booths got a second run!
Are the other 50th Anniversary Booths Back?
The unique booths kicked off the 50-year anniversary celebration last year and are making a come back this year too.
- Belgium offers items such as beer-braised beef served with smoked gouda mashed potatoes and Belgian waffle with warm chocolate ganache
- Brazil has menu offers two main selections, Feijoada (Black Beans with Crispy Pork Belly, Brazil Nut Pesto and Ben’s Original™ Long Grain White Rice) and Pão de Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread that’s gluten and wheat-friendly, it’s also an Emile’s Fromage Montage item)
- India is featured with foods like crispy paneer with mango-curry ketchup, plus beverages like Taj Mahal Premium Lager
- Ireland will join and feature fisherman’s seafood pie along with a Guinness Baileys Shake

Special Events at Epcot This Year
During the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2022, you won’t want to miss some special events. Each one is designed to help you create family memories while experiencing the park.
Remy’s Ratatouille Hide’ n’ Squeak Scavenger Hunt
One of the most popular events during the festival is the scavenger hunt featuring Remy from Ratatouille! It’s back this year and offers guaranteed family fun as you go exploring all over the park together in search of Remy.
There are fifteen Remy statues hidden all around the world showcase area. You buy a map and then take off in pursuit. Some statues are easy to find, and some are more difficult. Once you find them all, you can turn in your form and pick up your prize. The prizes this year are special cups designed for the festival.
You don’t have to worry if you can’t find them all, they’ll still let you pick a prize, but where is the fun in that? Get out there and find them!
Emile’s Fromage Montage Challenge
This is a cheese lover’s dream challenge for your family. They challenge you to try five different cheese dishes at select Global Marketplaces. This year is a bit different, guests have the option to choose from 5 dishes out of a possible 10. Each showcases a creative use of cheese so your whole gang can give them a try.
The list will be located in your festival passport, and you can get it stamped at each location. Then take the marked passport to Shimmering Sips and receive your reward. I won’t spoil the reward, but save room for one more cheese dish!
Eat to the Beat Concerts
Live music is featured every evening at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion! That’s right, this year’s performances aren’t only available on the weekends. From July 14th to November 14th you’ll find concerts starting at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, and 8:00pm each night.
Local musicians will perform Tuesday to Thursday every week, while iconic artists will perform from Friday to Monday nights throughout the festival. The renowned musical acts will include Tonic, Air Supply, Hoobastank, Stokley, Ray Parker Jr., Billy Ocean, Boyz II Men, Sugar Ray, and so many more. See the full list of performers and dates on Disney’s website.
